One of the must-try menu items at Tsukemen Gonokami Seisakusho Shinjuku is their signature tsukemen, featuring thick and chewy noodles that perfectly complement the robust broth. The toppings include tender slices of chashu (braised pork), marinated bamboo shoots, and a perfectly cooked soft-boiled egg. For those who prefer a spicier kick, they also offer a spicy version of their tsukemen, adding a fiery chili oil to the broth.

It’s on the backside of the Main Street. Google maps takes you to the correct place. At first it takes you along a shady looking side street, but it leads to the shop.
Firstly, wait in line. The waiter will slowly make his/her way down the line and tell you to purchase your tickets at the machine inside of the shop near the door (there is English translation), then come back out to your spot in line. The waiter will come out again and will collect your tickets.
He/she will ask if you want thick or thin noodles. In my opinion, go for the thick noodles.
It was a 45-minute wait.
We got the original and tomato-based dipping soups.
Once you get seated, they will bring over your order. There is also a placard that tells you how to eat it.
Cups and water are located next to the ticket machine. You can also get a bib if you don’t want to get your clothes dirty. There is also soup broth to pour into the dipping soup towards the end of the meal so you can drink it. It is 1:1 ratio, so don’t over pour!
The noodles came out al dente, which what I liked. The dipping soup was not as salty as another Tsukemen place that I tried. Portion was decent, then need to order extra noodles.
It is eat, finish, and go. Don’t try to hang around because they have other customers to serve.

4 star dipping noodles shop.
Very good and popular place. The bone broth is cooked with shrimp. Very flavorful and rich. Not traditional but different.
Also, very Japanese and no none sense. You seat, you eat, and you leave….no one speaks or even make eye contact.
As long as you use trans the rules you’ll be ok.

I got the shrimp tsukemen and the shrimp with tomato tsukemen. I love the shrimp only variant. However, the portion of this is quite big so you might get flavor fatigued towards the end of the bowl. The tomato variant has that acidity and a blob of pesto that can really help cut through the richness of the base shrimp broth.
