Turntable Review Summary

I stayed here for two nights. It is within walking distance from the Shibuya crossing. The price is very affordable, but you don't get a private room. Instead you stay in a capsule bed behind a curtain. Unfortunately, I noticed a bedbug on my bed. Only one. I killed it, and got no bites as far as I know.

They denied my check in when i sent a request to please let me enter between 10 and 11pm. this is miserable!!! i paid for the whole night and they don’t even let me come because they decide the check in is only until 10pm. ridiculous. i’m waiting for my refund!!!

I loved the warm environment and both my sashimi and salad (which I had been craving my entire trip to Japan) were delicious. The hostel is super well located and the service is excellent. This place, overall, is a total gem! I will definitely be back, and will also be recommending it to my friends :)

Stayed for one night at a female only room and the bed was super comfy. I love Japan for its hostels. In my experience, ever hostel I have stayed in has been super clean and great facilities. Love the water pressure in Japan! Its always worth the money. You get free amenities at the front desk.

I love that they had a FKJ vinyl at the front desk :) Plus the neighborhood is near Shibuya crossing and its very cool at night photography.

Beds and showers are comfortable and clean. Parts of the staff is not very friendly. Having to ask for a card every day and checking your identity for breakfast is ridiculous. Breakfast is not the best, very limited in choice and has no vegetarian option. The common rooms are wannabe hipster and restaurant but nobody really hangs out there, which is a pity since it is kind of cool. I would stop trying being a restaurant and just focus on getting people to chill in the commons!
Overall the hostel is really not bad but at this price point there are plenty of better options so I would not come back.
