Uokin Piccolo Shimbashi Review Summary

Tokyo standing restaurant with a few seats. Fun at the beginning, tiring at the end. Food is excellent and with reasonable prices. Try to be close to the kitchen to watch the chef's magic. They are serving a fusion of Italian /European /Japanese. Good selection of wines and drinks. Amazing service.

This place is such an interesting fusion of Italian and traditional izakaya. Place is tiny so you probably have to grab a standing stool or just stand. Food's great though - awesome sashimi platter, well cooked oysters and solid carbonara. I don't think this is tourist friendly (aka English menu) but it does have a great vibe here. My tip would be to show them photos of what you want to order, that will ease the pain of communication. Plus point is they accept credit cards

Great place to grab some seafood. They have standing tables outside or seating inside but it is a bit small if you prefer something cozy. Prices are reasonable and servings are of decent size.

Is a classic japanese izakaya where you can find french (?) Food or something trying to be french.

Is very funny because piccolo is a Italian word 😝.
