Usagi-ya Café

The perfect place for Japanese red bean lover. Usagi-Ya is cafe and bakery serving the famous menu of Dorayaki with the signature red bean paste, they have two store the cafe and bakery which serving completely different thing. The cafe side mainly serve Ice Cream, Kakigori and the signature menu of red bean crepe, but I ordered something else. The Kakigori with the red bean paste and bottom were filled with red bean, it very good dessert to helping release the heat with the signature red bean it mixing with ice, not too sweet but very tasty. Recommended must be the Red bean Ice Cream, it look very simple but this is the most delicious red bean ice cream I ever try. Serving the cup, Ice cream is in very good quality and delicious and it blended together with the red bean. It astonishingly good with the combination between red bean and ice cream .

The cafe is the branch shop of the famous dorayaki in Tokyo which is pancake sandwich with sweetened beans paste and it is japanese traditional sweet. I visited the parent shop of dorayaki several times but the cafe was the first time for me. The main sweet is shaved ice here. And the feature is the sweetened beans paste which is also used for dorayaki. The ingredients were very simple, shave ice, beans paste, and sweet syrup. I recommend you to try both this fancy shaved ice here and dorayaki in the parent shop located in one minute walk.

You can enjoy the freshly baked Dorayaki that is one of Japanese traditional sweets only for 10mins from 9:00am to 9:10am. This cafe’s owner brings us freshly baked Dorayaki with running from main store. It was so fluffy and moist. That’s not just Pancake, it’s Japanese great sweets Dorayaki!!
