A fantastic surprise having spent 10 days in Japan struggling to find ‘high street/accessible’ vegetarian food for my family, with confidence that dashi wasn’t included! The venue and decor is awesome (understated, New York vibe) and the open kitchen was smoothly managed by the team. It was a busy lunch session and yet service timing was spot on. The lunch menu is super simple to navigate and suited our 10 year old child so much as the adults.. chose your soup base (original / tomato / coconut), chose your size of rice bowl and level of spice. Deliciously filling and tasty. Good value for money. Highly recommend. Great wine selection too.

Give it a go, alternative experience for the open minded. A very unusual restaurant, in a good way. We were fine to go with the menu.

The vegetables really are GOOD, both the raw materials as well as the way they are cooked. We got good value for money, a HUGE plate of delicious 😋 vegetables, and these vegetables are grown organically on their own farm, some, according to the waiter, picked that very morning, like the kale.

The chicken was also a surprise Free range, very little fat and tasty. They serve it like you would a good price of fresh fish, not raw nor undercooked but still juicy - I guess they steam it then pan fry after. It made me realise that in the west we often overcook our chicken.

The service was a bit slow but they were kind enough to accept us even though they were fully booked. We sat outside.

I think if I ordered a different set menu, I would give this place 4 or 5 stars. But the set menu I ordered, the chicken breast I received felt, and tasted slightly undercooked. The vegetables were tasty, and the service and atmosphere were great. But I just couldn't get past the chicken, which was slightly pink and cold.

The Farm Akasaka is a wonderfully health and more importantly, delicious restaurant tucked away on a hill in Akasaka. The staff are very friendly, and explain what all the vegetables are and that they are fresh grown in their garden on the outskirts of Tokyo. We went for dinner, and the concept is basically that you get to choose the number of courses, which are primarily all fresh vegetables to be topped off at the end by a protein of your choice. I chose the Japanese beef as my main, and my partner chose chicken, both were good, albeit the beef was a little small. Keep in mind if you go that you’re going to need to fill up on vegetables as the main protein usually isn’t too big. However, all of it was amazingly delicious and also somehow satisfyingly health. I highly recommend the Farm!

Everyone was so friendly. They had an English menu and explained everything and gave us recommendation. They were very accommodating of dietary need. We unfortunately only had one hour to eat because we had tickets to a show but they made sure we would be out in time. The menu is a set menu for supper so plan for ahead and take the time to enjoy it because it’s worth it. All the dishes were delicious and presented beautifully.
