Wine House Minami Aoyama Review Summary

Very nice atmosphere and a great place if you're looking to impress with their gorgeous wall of wines on display. Sitting at the counter was fun, even saw some people there alone, I'd say it's quite welcoming even for one drink and a quick bite. The food was great, especially the appetizers. I enjoyed the aubergine wrapped in beef.

Big selection of wines. The staff is very nice and helpful. The place is casual but some of the wines can go expensive so it's up to you how you want to spend the evening. I also liked the vibe there. Food was also tasty. I tried burrata, duck paste, hotaru squid ajillo and uni pasta.

Out with a group of 6 and we visited Wine House for post-dinner drinks on a Monday night. Warm welcome from sommelier Micky DuPont when we walked in, and given a very comfortable table at the back of the bar. Wine cellar is extensive, idiosyncratic and contains some great (but expensive) wines. Micky was a good guide and we enjoyed a wonderful champagne and then a sublime French red burgundy. Served with a good cheese platter. If you like your wine, enjoy perusing an extensive cellar, and you’re not too price sensitive then this is your place.

Pretty expensive for the experience. They have you pay for the cover charge, for the cork charge (you pick your wine from the cellar of the restaurant !) and for the music you event didn’t choose to listen to... the singer was not the best performer, by the way. Menu is attractive though, but the wine we selected was not as likable as what we expected given the price. Rest of menu prices are reasonable, atmosphere is cosy and nice, but this is honestly a rip off.

Great atmosphere and open until 3am apparently?? Table charge is around 500¥ per person and they also charge 2000¥ cork fee for bottles.
