Yakiniku Yamadaya Nippori Review Summary

We came here on Saturday slightly before 17:00 (they open at 17:00). There were already people waiting, but even without a reservation, we were able to get a seat for 90 minutes. We ordered several meat plates, including yukke and aged beef. Everything tasted really good.

We also liked the service and appreciated that there were no additional charges besides what we actually ordered. Note that this restaurant is on the 3rd floor, and the entrance is not from outside the building but from inside. It took us a few minutes to find the place.

Yakiniku here was great and affordable given its quality. Arrived at 5pm on a weekday so no need to make a reservation.

We frequent this Yakiniku place whenever we are in Tokyo. Tokyo trip without Yamadaya wouldn’t be complete, this is how good they are. The must order is the harami, misuji, zabuton and the thick cut premium tongue! Dorayaki is really good too! Another favorite is their korean pancake. Must make reservations before your visit since they are very popular among the locals.

Not super reasonable, but worth trying. The meat quality is excellent, especially beef rumen, Mino in Japanese. I fortunately got a table around 5:00 pm without reservation, but all the other tables were reserved. The staffs were attentive.
