My gourmet friend who lives in Koenji and I decided to visit the nearby restaurant `` Yakiniku Kokochi'' because it had become a 100-famous restaurant and we wanted to go eat there.
December 24th. We made a reservation for 3 people on a Wednesday night at 7:30 pm, and the restaurant was full.
..
・Japanese senmai sashimi
Sashimi ordered as a side of Yakiniku
Served with black senmai/cucumber/white sesame and spicy miso on top.
Senmai sashimi has a characteristic crunchy and pleasant texture, and the taste is very light.By adding spicy miso, it becomes a great snack for alcoholic beverages.
The crunchy texture of the cucumber and the flavor of the white sesame were a pleasant accent, and it was very delicious to pick it up little by little as you let the alcohol flow!
・Kalbi
The kalbi is a sweet type with crispy marbling, and is recommended to be grilled quickly and served with a little sauce.
This is a very satisfying high-quality flavor considering the price, and the rich sweetness that melts easily and spreads throughout your mouth is irresistible.
Although it was a little greasy, it wasn't as heavy as I thought it would be, and it was a masterpiece that went well with the rice and was very delicious!
・Loin
The loin is lean meat with very little marbling, and is served in 6 thin slices dipped in sauce.
This is a very light meat with an impressive taste, and it has an elegant taste that is not heavy at all even as you eat it.
It was great to quickly grill each side for 2 seconds to keep it soft and eat it as an accompaniment to drinks!
・Harami
It is meat from the diaphragm part of the beef, and at this store it was served marinated in plenty of green onion sauce.
Skirt steak is a rich and satisfying type with plenty of marbling.
The aroma of green onions when grilled is wonderful and will whet your appetite.
This is a thick cut, so it has a firm texture, and the more you bite into it, the more juicy the sweetness of the fat and the deliciousness of the meat become.
This was also very delicious with a flavor that made you want to eat it all together with rice!
・Top lever
Since the lower rank lever was not in stock, I ordered the upper lever with a big deal.
The liver is cut into a thicker rectangular parallelepiped than I have ever seen at many stores, and served in 6 pieces.
The seasoning had been done in advance using the classic process of sesame oil and salt, so the surface was lightly seared to make a rip-off.
The liver is very soft and has a rich taste, and the rich texture and richness make the rice go well.
If you eat it with the included garlic, it will have a stronger punch and become addictive.
It was a masterpiece worthy of its name, Upper Liver, and it was absolutely delicious!
·hormone
The hormone is made from Shimachō, which is the part of the cow's large intestine, and is served in 6 large pieces.
This is well marinated in miso sauce, and the miso flavor that comes out while grilling is wonderful.
The texture of the fat was quite good, with a good balance between the soft fat, the sweetness, and the chewy texture of the large intestine, and it was really delicious to thoroughly enjoy it and wash it down with a refreshing drink. is!
・Egg soup
Soup ordered to finish off Yakiniku
When I told them that this time I would be splitting it between 3 people, they gave it to me in advance, which is nice.
The ingredients for the egg soup were eggs, mushrooms, green onions, and daikon radish, and the saltiness was moderate, the soup wasn't too thick, and the mushroom flavor was strong, making it easy to drink.
The small amount of black pepper added was a good accent, and the slight spiciness tightened up the whole thing, making it a perfect ending to the dish.I was very satisfied!
..
The store is located about 1 to 2 minutes walk from the north exit of JR Koenji Station.
Go left at the north exit, cross the traffic light, turn right, enter the narrow alley between Takano Seika, and walk a little further. The store is located in a corner of the restaurant area of Daiichi Market.
The inside of the store is compact and typical of a market, giving it the feel of a street yakiniku restaurant, making it a space suitable for enjoying yakiniku in a friendly atmosphere.
The seating consists of 8 counter seats, 1 table seat for 2 people, and 1 table seat for 6 people, for a total of 16 seats.
The customer base was friends/couples/couples, and the volume zone was people visiting in groups of 4 to 6 people.
As someone who lives in Koenji, this is a restaurant I've always wanted to try out, so it was great to be able to visit with my friend!
It was delicious, thank you for the meal (*´◒`*)
