Definitely worth the price. I love the side dishes, especially the eel jelly. One disadvantage is the restaurant allows customer to smoke inside and I am really against the idea sin e I cant smell my delicious food :/

Quiet place with very nice food. A little on the pricey side (it IS Unagi!) but the food tastes good and hot sake is a nice touch for winter season..

Overall I would come again!

This seems to be the birthplace of eel ball bowl. Just after crossing the pedestrian crossing from the east exit of Ikebukuro Station, down the alley next to Don Quijote, you'll find a quiet shop with very reasonable prices, especially during lunch time, despite being a long-established store. In addition to the eel, we also recommend enjoying the kaiseki meal prepared by an authentic Japanese chef on the second floor!
