Our dinner last night was just amazing. The cuisine is subtile, well crafted, delicious and has some very appreciable touches of modernity. The service is careful and very warm. Definitely a must try in Kyoto for kaiseki experience !

Highly recommended especially for gourmets who love Japanese sake! !

Located in Marutamachi, Kyoto,
Yangasu is a Japanese restaurant that combines Kyoto cuisine, innovative cuisine, and sake kaiseki.
I've been curious about it since I saw it on Instagram
Finally the long-awaited first visit✨

Luxuriously too
We received a course of 7 dishes made with carefully selected summer ingredients and 8 types of sake pairings.

The first item, sesame tofu, is innovative.
I was impressed by the taste, which was somewhere in between sweets and side dishes!

From soups to burgers,
You can't do this at a regular Japanese restaurant.
I had a gourmet experience!

There is also a semi-private room with a counter and a sunken kotatsu.
You can relax and enjoy yourself
Recommended for parties such as dates!

I go to Kyoto several times a year, including for work, but the restaurant I used to go to has closed, so I was looking for a place to eat and drink that was delicious, quiet, and reasonably priced. This time, I researched good looking shops and visited this shop for the first time...

Creative Japanese Cuisine There are many creative Japanese restaurants in Kyoto. This is a reasonably priced shop in an area where there are many shops that sell for over 20,000 yen. Since the price of individual sake is high, pairing would be a good idea. A good idea is to mix 20% and 30% Dassai. 20% is expensive...

We made a reservation for 17:00 on Saturday, July 29th, and entered the store for two people. I ordered a 7-course short course with pairings for 2 hours starting at 5pm. At the beginning of the course, we were greeted politely by the owner. She's young and lively, and her good personality shines through...
