Yuzawaya

I actually bookmarked this place for it's shaved ice. However, little did I know that their storefront display has many dessert options including the Nikko traditional sweet bean jelly. Was so eager to test it and great that Yuzawaya is the only store that sells it in smaller portions for someone like me who is new and curious about Nikko's famous dessert. I also ordered the softer texture of the sweet bean jelly, another famous item called the manju (a steamed bun with a sweet azuki bean paste filling, I ordered the green tea) and one other dessert that had grapefruit flavor. For both the traditional and regular, the sweetness is perfect for a hot day. I took all of the pictures of the desserts that we tried.

On the left hand side of the street as you walk to Nikko Toshogu, approximately 25 minutes walk from Nikko JR train station, you will see a snack and dessert shop. There are these beautifully decorated Japanese jelly desserts there. With a touch of sweetness, they are soft and moist in the middle. This is one of the best dessert shops in Nikko.

This is a super cozy cafe. I needed to escape from the rain and this place was so nice. They have a fire place.

The sake steamed bread have different taste,it’s taste good,and the red bean milk jelly also taste good,must try this all snack.
