Are you looking for yummy gyoza and cold beer? Found this via a friend with a Japanese map app. It is street level just off the Main Street by Ebisu station. After trying several places in the Ebisu area, this is my fave gyoza spot so far. Small hole in the wall type place with plywood tables and Japanese concert posters on the wall. The food is great and cheap. Service is pleasant and they have an English menu. Mostly locals so that will give you a tip that it’s great. Cast iron pan gyoza, also choices for small dishes like ramen, edamame, pork and rice (like a dry rub spice w coriander) or pork and sprouts. They take Visa too. Service might be slow if it gets busy bc only two chefs but the food was great. Will definitely go back! Yum!!

    - 400yen charge per person, not mentioned anywhere 😅
    - Staff is forcing you to order more gyoza than what is in the menu (mandatory amount per person) 😔
    - No menu explanation when we asked for the difference between different items 🤨
    - The sauces are not normal Soy sauce and very spicy or sweet, without any explanation 🌶️
    - Mapo tofu and normal tofu was not good at all. Microwaved conbini food level.

Worst experience in Tokyo since a long time 😫

Absolutely Delicious! Simple yet full of flavour dishes. There are two special sauces that really enhance every bit. Abuse of those if possible. Everything was great. The drinks were also well served. The atmosphere is also really good. It’s like cool salaryman spot. Definitely a place to return.

Get the black pork gyoza and mapo tofu. The mapo tofu was the best one I have ever come across. They are not shy on spice and flavor, it’s in your face in the best possible way. Blew my mind. (Pictured: regular gyoza with garlic, ate the black pork too quickly!)

Really great Gyoza and the noodles were delicious. Very laid back. A nice casual stop for a drink and something to eat in the evening.

No English menu (which isn't necessarily a bad thing - but just be prepared). We pointed to pictures of the items we wanted from other reviewers pictures, so I'll post a picture of the fantastic gyoza in case you're in the same situation!
