We missed to book the famous unagi restaurant in Kyoto but managed to have our unagi meals in Tokyo. My mum said its very close to if not equally delicious compared to Kyoto. Manned by a friendly and hardworking elderly couple. Very satisfied meal and would highly recommend it.

Soooo yummy!!
If you go there, you have to get Bando Taro. Totally worth paying a bit more.

I’m SO recommending this tiny eel house!! An old couple own the place and they were really sweet. You can see the fresh eels cook right in front of you and they tasted heavenly. Just a head up that the space’s pretty tight in there (only 6 seats) so you may need to go in small groups if you have a big party.
