Great vibe as a local udon restaurant. No tourist but they had already prepared an english version of menu. Taste good. You should try definitely!

Great little udon store near station. Lovely vibes n friendly staff. They actually have English menu. People keep coming in. Quite a no of young people visit the store. The slurping sound by diners are what make the eating even more fun and tasty. Hot afternoon so didn’t try the soup tis time. Next round definitely will try the hot soup noodles. Love it!

Since the Gojo store was closed, I entered the Nishikyogoku main store for the first time.
Even though it was past 1:30 p.m., there were 10 people waiting. Benkei udon on the iron plate was a perfect match of spicy kinpira burdock and sweet foxtail. My companions are tanuki and curry udon. Both were served hot and delicious.

Translated from Japanese:

Work lunch. I went to Benkei Udon which has been around for quite some time. Kayaku udon and small rice. The udon noodles are thinner than Kyoto style udon (^^) The bonito soup is delicious ♪ Kayaku's shiitake mushrooms are well seasoned and thick, making it a very delicious treat.

Today's lunch was at Benkei Udon's Nishikyogoku main branch. First visit to Nishikyogoku. When I thought of Nishikyogoku, I only had the image of an athletics stadium, but there didn't seem to be many places to eat. Perhaps because I visited the store a while after it opened, I stayed in the heat for a while...

I was surprised at how delicious the soup stock was. There are many kinds of food that you would want to eat every day, and I understand how the locals are willing to wait in line to eat.The turnover rate is fast, and since I came by car, it was nice to be able to wait in the car.You order after you sit down, and it comes right away. ..
