Columbia 8 is a part of the Tokyo Curry Quartet in Tokyo Station. We were pulled in by the visuals of the curry, intrigued by the flavors while eating it, and left satisfied by the meal and the service.
We ordered the Keema Curry set for first time customers which came with a grapefruit drink. Our server noticed that we only ordered one set to share between the two of us so he split the grapefruit drink to two cups. It didn't take long for the Keema Curry to be served.
The server will share a flyer explaining how to start eat the curry for maximum flavor. First, scoop a bit of curry. Hold the pepper on one hand. Next, eat the curry and bite a bit of pepper. Finally, refresh your taste buds with the grapefruit drink. Repeat. Finally, mix and eat however way you please. "Spoon in the right hand, shishito pepper in the left hand"
The Keema Curry comes with the curry, tumuric rice, sautéed onions, and topped with shishito pepper. The visuals and flavors are top notch. The level of spice was balanced, palatable, and great for new customers. The bits of chopped peppers also gave each scoop a nice kick. The best part of the curry was the addition of raisins(?). It gave bursts of sweetness that was pleasant with the spice.
Overall, the service, attention to detail, and balanced curry deems a second visit to try out the spicier version (fireworks).
We didn't know this before coming to Columbia 8, but their main branch in Kitahama has been awarded the Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for four consecutive years!

A hidden gem in Tokyo station underground with the combination of nice curry and one of Japanese best beer, Orion from Okinawa. You will be given a leaflet (in English) to show how to eat curry in right way. The curry here is not as my imagination for a Japanese one as it seems thin and soup-like. It is not not so spicy from my taste. There is also a lemonade cup for balance of flavor, but I do not think it good.
Nice service and warm decoration. You should give this restaurant a chance if you wander around Tokyo station.

They were lined up in the underground curry zone at Yaesu Exit.
When it first opened, there were some people lining up, but it was a Sunday afternoon and the seats weren't all that full.
The staff will teach you how to eat it, but for first-timers, they recommend either keema curry or noodle rice.
I topped the keema curry with a boiled egg, but I heard that it would be good to start with the shishito peppers and eat it with the juice from the set.
It was very delicious.
Also, the acoustics were strangely good (lol)
