An all-time favorite sushi-ya. Taisho is very friendly. Even with limited communication, he always makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Also, staff is helpful with announcing and showing each fish being served, either with a reference book or google translation.

Good ostumami but the Nigiri is what to come for, the bonito was truly remarkable and a real highlight.
One of the chefs also spoke very good English which was a great help in explaining things and making conversation. He even had a book explaining each fish in Japanese and English, this really helped to elevate the whole experience and create a very memorable evening.

This is an amazing sushi-ya. The food quality and presentation are fantastic. The restaurant is very small and has limited seating. But this allows the food to be served right from the chef to you. It was fascinating watching Chef Harutaka Takahashi at work. His skills in preparing the food was a show in itself. His bone cutting on the eel dish was a delight to watch. Each dish that arrived was flavourful and beautiful. When the sushi dishes came our English speaking server was kind enough to bring us a book and described which fish was being served. Was it expensive? Of course. But it certainly was one of the best sushi meals I have ever had.
