Kaisendokoro Hakodateyama

The food was perfect. Very tasty and fresh. You can choose from a wide variety of sashimi and other delicious food. Also beer here is very nice. I can really recommend this for dinner. We visited it on Friday evening and it was not full, no reservation required.

Staff did not understand much English, but they had an English menu and we supplemented with Google translate. Service was good.

A rare gem hidden among all the touristy shops. Value for money. Amazing tempura moriawase with crab legs and scallops! The yakimono set is nice as well. We are not big fans of the liver. Perhaps you change it out for something else. There is an English menu available and they accept credit cards.

Incredible service with a private room on the second floor. Highly recommend the grilled squid and assorted sashimi. Also do note that it would save a lot of time if you order all the food at one go. Certainly a must try izakaya in hakodate.
