The guy at the entrance was looking at me like “Why are you here?”. Not nice at all. I had to ask “Can I come in?”. First time ever in Japan. That’s why I’m giving three stars for the service. Everybody else in the shop was professional and curteous.
The food was great, I had the 10 gyoza set with rice and soy ramen with a very large beer (633 mL). Altogether 2420 yen.
Except for the guy at the entrance, highly recommended.

Tastes almost as good as my homemade gyozas. It's a legit gyoza bar for quick eats, cheap and full of wok hei - air of wok 😄

Very good Gyoza bar. Reasonable price and friendly staffs. Gyozas are just the right size, crispy and delicious.
The bar should have some tissue papers to wipe, as the tables, plates and food is oily.
They also have ramen, fried rice (which I recommend) and some light plates.
Good bar to pop in. Even there is always a long queue, the rotation is quick so you shouldn’t wait that long...approx 1 person 1.5 min waiting time (if you have 10 people in front of you, the waiting time is around 15 min)

When people ask me what we ate in Japan, my mind poets back to this magical place. Recommended to us by a gal at the Moxy hotel nearby, we ate lunch here 5 times. We literally couldn’t get enough.

You might come for the gyoza, and you won’t be disappointed. However, save some room for the fried rice. Its flavor, its texture, its everything is what fried rice is meant to be.

Personally, I liberally applied red chili oil & flakes to spice mine up, but my hubby merely poured a touch of shoyu & rice wine vinegar over his. However you personalize it — even if you don’t personalize it — it’ll soothe your soul.

It’s cash only, and please don’t loiter too long. They are rightfully quite popular and it’s not uncommon to see 10-15 people in line outside. If you see this, don’t be discouraged! It’s worth the wait.

Great, cheap gyoza. Counter seating only. The meal is served in 2 separate plates of 5 gyoza so they stay hot and fresh.
