The udon is strong and chewy. The store says the niku udon is the preference, but I prefer the mushrooms with the scallions. The nama take away is also nice as you have more control over how hard you want to keep your udon. The 16 minute boil, steeped in freezing water, will make the udon strong and chewier than the store.

For lunch, I had a special bowl of mushroom soup udon.
The noodles had just the right amount of texture, and the soup was delicious with thick shiitake mushrooms in it!
I'm grateful that it's filling and cost-effective!

I ordered a combination of 3 types of tsuyu * 3 types of amounts * 16 types of toppings * hot and cold, and this time I received meat udon, normal size, and red tsuyu. I can't remember the store's policy of not issuing paper receipts, but I think the price was reasonable at 790 yen including tax. Also, the parking lot is shared, so be sure to check before parking.

Musashino udon restaurant is delicious and has plenty of portions. It's quite crowded at lunchtime, and they seem to be putting a lot of effort into takeout and mail order (they also sell items as return gifts for hometown tax donations).
The noodles are extremely chewy, fragrant, and extremely delicious. The soup is modest, but the noodles are delicious, so I guess that's fine.
We also have curry dipping sauce, although it may not be available because it is sold out.
