Restaurant specialized in udon (thick noodles made from wheat flour), which is the only main dish on the menu. There are lots of delicious appetizers, though.

The dining room consists of one huge table, around which all clients are seated. This is convenient if you're unsure how exactly to eat udon because you can observe how the Japanese around you do it.

The portions are big. My partner and I shared two appetizers and a large portion of udon, which was absolutely filling. Nonetheless, the Japanese around us ate two or three times as much.

Highly recommended to come here if you're in the neighborhood.


It's one of the best udon I have tasted. The elasticity of the noodle was just perfect.
The tempura tasted amazing; light and crispy.
The "rice crispy" looking fried batter that you add into the soup base was just so addictive!

The garden outside adds such a nice touch to the restaurant.

Would recommend going early as there is always a long queue!


Nestled in a residential area in Nezu, with walkable distance from Ueno’s museum area, this is one of my top spots for hot udon in the city with udon’s original flavour and soup base presented to us in its best form

The appetisers— 胡麻豆腐and 茄子ーare particularly great additions to the meal

The garden view the dining table faces also make a prefect dining experience
