野方 (Nogata) Dumpling (Gyoza) is a locally famous restaurant. It's near the Nogata station, which is on the 西武新宿 (Seibu Shinjuku) line.
There are two kind of signature Gyoza sold in this restaurant: Pan-fried Gyoza and the Cheese Gyoza. The flavor of Cheese Gyoza is thick and good to taste.
My pic shows that the Gyoza whose skin is thinner and more crispy is different from the Chinese dumpling. The restaurant will show how to eat these gyoza with appropriate sauce. It is very suitable to have a midnight snack here.

The award winning Tantan Suigyoza deserve the accolades - they're fantastic. The 'normal' gyoza are also good - you can adjust the level of garlic to your liking - for some it's welcome.
The rest of the menu is fine - some beers; shochu etc to keep you in the mood.
Absolutely recommended

(I have been in Japan for 10 years) It is the best gyoza (Japanese-style dumpling) place ever. If you love gyoza, this is the must-go place. I have tried tons of gyoza, but so far this is the best. There are 3 kinds of gyoza; pan-fried, steamed, and specially arranged asian style gyoza. The price is fair enough, but you may have to wait in line.
