Stumbled on to this place and have absolutely no regrets. Based on reviews I only wish I had come during lunch for the value that the set meals bring. That said, the dinner was perfect.
The place was very traditional and full of locals having sake and oden. There were no English menus nor English speakers working there but thankfully there was a lady there who spoke Chinese and I managed to order in my crappily spoken Chinese. I went with whatever they recommended and each item was a hit. Problem is menus have no prices so there wasn’t transparency in the bill. I’m still not sure if I overpaid for 4 odens half bowl of rice and a sake as it would cost more than half the price from family mart. That said, I enjoyed the atmosphere and people watching there.
The male owner gave me the sweetest strawberry and cherry tomatoes at the end and someone whispered to me that that’s a special. Also, I’m told he saves the specials for his regulars and specials so good to go often to get on his good list 🤣.
Hoping I’d get to go back!
