Root Review Summary

The food is okay, but I have a few concerns.

First of all, we were told that we could not sit at the tables in the center of the room and were seated by the wall instead, even though the room was almost empty.

After recalculating what we drank and ate, I believe we were charged more than we should have—6040 yen for a Highball, a glass of Rosé wine, mushrooms with cheese, an omelette, and a nougat dessert. Since we neither speak nor read Japanese, we couldn’t verify the bill at the restaurant.

I won’t be coming back here.

Beautiful restaunt with amazing food that you can tell was prepared with patience. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the experience.

The food is quite nice and reasonably price for the quality.
However even my 12 year old brother can manage the service better.
They almost dont have any of the wines on the wine list….
Service wise it is a real disaster. But food is good and cosy atmospheter.

Taste: It was good. Better than expected. However, have been to places with better options or variety of dishes served during the course.
Staff: Friendly staff.
Ambience: It was good. Had a good seating arrangement for a group of people.
Appreciated smoking wasn't allowed inside the restaurant. Had a smoking zone.

Make sure you order the fresh vegetable plate.
