Sagara Review Summary

Our favorite restaurant in Japan after a 14 day trip. The soba noodles was amazing, best we had in Japan and is freshly made. The sashimi and raw seafood was fresh, tasty and phenomenal. We highly recommend this restaurant. We met the owner and executive chef - he is a great guy and handwrites his menu every day. His calligraphy was very pretty.

My second visit and still I love soba here! especially the Chinese Yam soba was exceptional!!! Also recommend to have a thick noodle :)

You can enjoy three types of noodles: basic soba noodles, yuzu noodles, and thick soba noodles. There is also a variety of side dishes to choose from. I tried the fried dish with squid and shrimp mixed together, and it was delicious. Keep in mind that there is usually a long waiting line.

I recommend for first visitors to order the 2 or 3 'colors' . It includes 2 or 3 different types of soba. I was surprised for the yuzu and the 'inaka' one. That is a very rough cut one you can see in the pictures. Never tried before.
Staff is very friendly.

Amazing food, very creative. Tried the set menu. Can't wait to come back and try more.
