Sugidama Review Summary

Sugidama was the perfect spot for our last meal in Kyoto, and it truly exceeded our expectations! The variety, quality, and affordability make it a must-visit. For just $62, the three of us enjoyed an incredible spread that felt like a steal for what we got.

The sushi was beautifully prepared and incredibly fresh—the nigiri just melted in our mouths. Special mention to the grilled selections; they were perfectly cooked with a delightful smoky flavor. The uni udon was a standout dish, perfectly creamy with the umami richness of the sea urchin balanced by the springy texture of the noodles. Every plate looked as amazing as it tasted, showcasing an incredible attention to detail.

The atmosphere of Sugidama was cozy and inviting, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. The service was slow interms of Japanese fast service that we got used to for the last 6days ))
All the food was delicious and fresh.
The sake was excellent too, we had a great time here and loved this place.
Apart from the service you should know that the place is located in the basement with Jack ladder.

Love the food here. Sushi very fresh. Tried this mince tuna with olive oil and bread. Super good. Price and portion very reasonable for 4 types of food. Also tried miso with egg, really good.
