A fun and raucous atmosphere that’s a nice change from the usual quiet and serene sushi counters. Chefs are happy to joke around, and it’s somewhere I’d bring friends to if they feel intimidated by more “serious” sushi chefs.
As for quality, I’ll rate it similarly to shops competing in the same price range, like EDOMAE SS. Pieces here can be slightly more creative (e.g. squid with uni), and you get more latitude with the ala carte options (e.g. they even have fried tachiuo). The tairagai and nodoguro rolls were highlights, and the akami had a lovely meaty texture. However, the shaping of the shari was not entirely consistent, with bits of rice falling off or left behind on the table on some pieces. The iwashi also tasted a bit thin compared to several other places I’ve had this week. Finally, the komezu based young ginger gari was too salty for me.
Prices add up quickly — our bill came up to >¥12000 with a single drink. So naturally, one starts comparing to the lunch sets of higher end sushi shops, which don’t have these compromises. Ultimately, I still left happy dining here. Just docking a point for CP given the compromises mentioned.

Oh my! What an amazing experience!! Standing sushi joint with full of character. You have to translate in Japanese to make reservations. We went on a rainy Sunday night, and the line started forming before it opened. Those without reservations were turned away…place only sits 10..oops stands :o). Omakase style with few ala carte offerings in Japanese perfection!! Pricey but worth it and highly recommend!!!
Luckily on this particular night one of the two chefs spoke very limited English, so we were lucky but have your translate App handy.

Good quality, but a bit overpriced. You can easily find comparable quality at higher end sushi chains for half the price.

The fact that you need to stand for 1.5 hours for a meal is a rare experience that not many sushi places will offer.
High end Edomae sushi serving in a standing eating style is a totally new concept. All sushi are well seasoned, no need any extra soya sauce.
Definitely will re-visit.
