The best ramen I’ve had during our short trip in Japan. The broth was very flavourful and not salty. Noodles have some good chew as well. I’m a big fan, and would highly recommend. The hosts were kind and made accommodations for my partner, who is vegetarian.

Good tsukemen and a nice owner
2021 update: Now 5 stars (from 4). They've changed their menu and dishes are even more delicious. I recommend the pepper and sesame ramen

It's real good. And the gyoza is delicious, too. Get the tabushi ramen, it's yums.

Great ramen restaurant for a quick bite in Koenji. Recommend the Tabushi Ramen (1st option) and Gyoza (w/ the spicy bean sauce made in-house). It's a self-serve set up - choose and pay for the meal at the vending machine at the door and hand the tickets to the staff. If you order a bowl of ramen, you will be asked if you'd like to upgrade to a large portion at no extra cost. The Tabushi ramen is an oily, dark broth with ramen, bean sprout, a bit of seaweed, and a boiled egg. It's very hearty and the large portion will fill you up. The iced tea served with the meal is an herbal tea.
