    Sudachi soba was light & refreshing, soba noodles itself was of a good bite. About 2000-3000yen per pax. There’s a short wait when we reached 1140am on a weekday, line got longer after. Good to try once but not spectacular enough for me to return

    Today we visited Dosanjin in Ikejiri-Ohashi!The atmosphere is very relaxed and authentic soba noodles are a must!
    A compact review.

    A word of review.
    This soba restaurant is located between Nakameguro and Ikejiri-Ohashi, and its main branch is in Hyogo Ashiya.

    Access from the station
    It is located 10 minutes walk from Ikejiri-Ohashi station.
    There is a signboard outside, and after going down the stairs, you will see the soba restaurant.The restaurant has a very nice Japanese atmosphere.

    Seats
    Total 44 seats.There are counter and table seats.
    Both have a good atmosphere, depending on the number of people.

    [Interior
    The atmosphere is reminiscent of a hideout based on clay walls.It looks like a good place for a private date.

    Make sure to order this one!Menu
    Today we had Karasumi Soba.
    The flavor of karasu and the flavorful handmade soba noodles, milled in house on a millstone, are a perfect match.
    If you live in Tokyo, you should definitely try it.

    Price
    Karasumi Soba for 2,100 yen.It is very tasty and satisfyingly priced.

    I came with friends on a Saturday morning. We waited quite a long while, because you can't make a lunch res. The menu has some pictures. The staff are not friendly. We asked to be seated at a different table for particular reasons, we were told the table wasn't available then immediately another party was seated. It left me annoyed through the meal, as we were seated near the kitchen and the toilet in a half-empty restaurant. They didn't refill our beverages or check in on us even one time during the meal. The food is pricey. The soba portions are on the small end. The ango tempura was nice, the coating had a good crunch. The sudachi citrus soba had a nice flavor but the soba was a bit stiff. I don't know if that was intentional. The regular soba was ok, but still too firm. I won't return.

    For me soba is very much a holistic experience, and even though this one exceeds in some points, it fails in others, bringing it to a “meh-meh why bother level”.

    Starting with positive:
    - Soba broth here is excellent: rich, flavorful, absolutely mouth watering;
    - Varieties of dishes are plentiful, beginning with soba and ending on sashimi;
    - Interiors are nice, I would even say stylish, quite worth that Instagram snap.

    Moving on to not so positive aspects:
    - The amount of soba you get for that Nakameguro price is nothing less of a joke: I finished my dish in 1 minute and was forced to order another just to sustain (I am a 50kg, 160cm tall girl);
    - Service, even in quiet times, can be off: my friend opened her soba broth plate to find it completely empty;
    - It normally is a ridiculously busy place, so often times you will have to line up.

    Soba is a homey, unassuming dish, and like all simple things it needs to have many small details come together to make something perfect.
    This is just not the place for that.

    Good taste, unique flavour with the Sudachi slices very refreshing on a summer day. Conger eel tempura was superb. Queued 20-30mins on a Sunday afternoon, Starbucks queue was 2-3hrs long though
