Bread It Be

I loved the bread here. Everything here is unique and the staff are very friendly. I’d definitely go back there every time I visit Kamakura.

There’s no joke about bread making at this cool looking bakery. They import flour from Germany and mix with Japanese flour and organic flour. They even grow their original yeast. Their motto is to let the bread be what bread should be.

Great bread. Worth going out of your way for.

I didn't know that there was such a delicious bakery within walking distance of Kamakura station. This bakery, located about 50 meters after turning right at the second torii gate, also sells bread made with natural yeast, and there are signs showing what kind of yeast they use.
It's a small store that can fit 3 or 4 people, but they have a variety of breads, but the hard breads were especially delicious.
The baguette has a crispy skin and is very fragrant, and the inside has a light wheat aroma, making it one of the most delicious items I've ever eaten.
There is a terrace in front of the shop with tables and chairs, so you may be able to eat there as well.
