Hill Pine's Espresso

I had the Long Black, Latte and Affogato. Hands down the best coffee in Kawagoe.

And they have a skateshop on the 2nd floor above the coffee shop. Unfortunately it only opens on weekends.

Amazing cold brew coffee, strong and chocolatey but not bitter. Opens early, which is great if you’re travelling. Outside and some inside seating.

The flat white had a really amazing aroma and was silky but not too overpowering. (The smell alone made me forget I had to take photos and only realised after I'd tasted everything).

The iced cane sugar latte was refreshing and had a nice balance of flavours. The hot cane sugar latte was richer, with more caramely notes to match the roasted bitterness.

The affogato really showed off the flavour of their complex espresso and was well matched with the good quality of their ice-cream and topped with a Lotus biscuit! Delicious!

Highly recommended. I haven't visited many coffee shops in Kawagoe, but my friends and I can confidently say it's probably one of the best ones and deserves more customers.

If you want a reason to bike up to Kawagoe, here it is! The food is great (highly recommend the Quesadillas!) and the drinks are phenomenal. The long affogato is such a refreshing treat in this summer heat. Just look at that picture, it’s so beautiful 🤩

Flat white is amazing!! They only have 5-6 tables so definitely cannot bring large group to this place
