▶︎I went on a hot spring trip to Hakone, so I went to Hakone Yumoto to eat while I was there. I went to Kikugawa Shoten to eat Hakone manju. It is located right in front of Hakone Yumoto station.

▶︎I wanted to see the machine in front of the shop spinning round and round and baking the steamed buns, but at that time they weren't making steamed buns and the empty machine was just spinning. I was worried that I wouldn't be able to eat freshly baked food, but I was able to get something warm (o^^o)

▶︎The inside is made with white bean paste and has a gentle sweetness. The dough itself has a flavor similar to castella and is delicious. The "Hakone" branding iron is cute and would make a good souvenir.
