If it was up to me, I'd eat a Christollen (Christmas stollen) for breakfast everyday 🤭.
Listed as one of the top 100 restaurants on Tablelog, this bakery lives up to its reputation and rank.
This is from memory one of the most delicious bread I've ever had. The skin is light and crisp; and bread dough tastes like dark malt. The fruit to bread is very generous, as the bread is almost half speckled with matured and juicy bits of dried fruits and nuts. The loaf is dense and and imparts a deep, rustic, fermented, sourdough after taste. The more one chew, the better it taste! I'd normally toast fruit bread prior to serving but this loaf as good as they come.
The bakery is busy especially on weekends. I did not dine in for that reason but they do offer a galette and coffee set which looked tempting.
Prior to visiting JR, I queued for almost 90 minutes to get my hands on ECHIRE financier and madeline. In my humble yet honest opinion, I much prefer JR.

The pastries are fantastic, top-notch quality.
However, the prices leave a little to be desired. The easter egg, for example, was ¥30,000 for a chocolate shell with mini packaged eggs.
