Nikko Pudding Tei Main Store

Stopped by for pudding late afternoon. Greeted warmly by the servers at the counter. They have a foreign girl who speaks good English & fluent Japanese - was easy to order and understand the flow of things.

Tried quite a number of flavours - think we ordered about 8 jars total for 5 of us. One that stood out most to me was the ice cream & original pudding. Ice cream was very creamy & not overly sweet, and the pudding after finishing the ice cream was a delight.

I'd recommend it!

Don't forget to swap your used glasses for an empty one. Very cute to take home.

The original nikko pudding was really nice, soft and smooth.

The strawberry one is so so, too eggy and the sauce is too sweet. I wish I bought the original instead of this.

The shop is always busy and quite small so it is hard to sit and eat there. They do provide the ice pack if you take out and need to travel somewhere.

Packaging was super cute though! If you are around. It’s good to check them out !

Amazing pudding and ice cream. Smooth and creamy. Plenty of flavours to choose - recommend the Nikko classic flavour. You can give the used bottle back to them and they give you a clean one to keep as a souvenir. Staff can speak English

The pudding here is extremely smooth and delicious. Costs about 500 yen each. There was a long line but the staff worked quickly. Seems like some days it is busy and some days it will be empty. If you order just the pudding, you will not be able to dine inside, they will ask you to omochikaeri/ take out. They give you a bag and spoon to eat your pudding though. I ordered the strawberry milk and yuba flavor. Both were so good. If I'm in Nikko again, I want to try the other flavors!

Ordered the milk pudding without the caramel syrup. 407yen dine-in. I think it is overpriced.

But the texture is smooth. And when you scoop to the bottom it has a burnt taste, which adds another unique taste which was pleasantly nice actually.

At the end the store even given me a pocket tissue as souvenir 😅
