I went there because I had one hour to wait for the next train. I decided to taste Japanese shochu and went to the Sengetsu Shuzo Distillery. It took me 15 minutes on foot from train station. They're offering free time. I picked out a few quickly and tasted them. It was my first time drinking shochu. I bought a bottle of 恋しそう. Sweet~ I like it. ^^

I had an amazing time at this Shochu brewery! They took me around on a free tour and had brochures entirely in English. After the tour they have the bottles out and allow you to pour yourself samples to try. It was one of the many highlights on my trip to Kyushu and to Hitoyoshi! I bought their Koi Shisou which was delicious!! They were so welcoming and I am so glad that I went!
