I entered the store because I was curious about the chocolate yokan on the signboard. If you eat it inside the restaurant, it will be drizzled with matcha. I bought a bottle to take home (1,300 yen), so it didn't come with matcha, but it would probably go well with it.
The chocolate yokan I brought home was strong, sweet, and delicious. You can feel the red bean of yokan in the aftertaste.
By the way, the young proprietress in Japanese clothes is kind and pleasant.
The other yokan in the store also have colorful exteriors that perfectly match the atmosphere of the store.
I was in a hurry to go to Kamakura after this, so I gave up, but next time I think I'll use the cafe and relax.

Tamaya Cafe's matcha affogato is delicious!

Perhaps because it's a yokan shop, the red bean paste is delicious, and when you sprinkle it with rich matcha and eat it with ice cream, it's exquisite. This is a shop where you'll want to stop by when you come to Enoshima, where the shiratama balls are also chewy.

I like shiratama, so I order matcha affogato every time instead of matcha anmitsu with agar jelly 😋

4 tables that can seat 2 people, and a tatami room in the back.
It was always crowded on holidays, so I was given a room in the back, but
On weekdays around 2pm, it's empty and quiet, with one or two female customers working, reading, or relaxing.

Due to the atmosphere, I thought they would refuse to bring infants, but I was very grateful to the staff for providing hot water for preparing infant formula and offering me cushions in the tatami room.

However, the store is quite quiet on weekdays, so you need a little courage 👶

While passing by on my way to Enoshima, I was drawn to the quaint atmosphere of the store and entered.
Since it was already evening, I was curious about the cafe, but today I decided to buy a set of 5 types of yokan as a souvenir.
Enoshima Yokan has a slightly salty taste with seaweed, and has a very gentle sweet flavor. It has become my favorite because it is a unique taste of Enoshima that can only be tasted here. The price was reasonable, so I decided to buy some for my friends as well.
I had high expectations for the cafe and was looking forward to the next time.
