First time to try Monjayaki. We thought its just the same to Okonomiyaki, but its not 😅 Luckily, the staffs from this store are so nice to assist us. I enjoyed eating here!

I was just goofing around Shibamata when I found their ad. Such a gem. 🥰

Staff speaks limited English. Very polite and helpful though

Anyway, the owner and staff are bright and friendly, and the atmosphere is good✨
Even when they recommend today's special dish, they will tell you exactly where they got it from and why they recommend it. On the day I went, the oysters from Miyagi Prefecture were delicious!
The okonomiyaki and yakisoba will be cooked for you, and they will explain in advance how long it will take.
Monjamo comes with a variety of toppings, including sauce and salt, and recommendations are also listed.
Although it is an ordinary ramune (carbonated drink), the name ``Shibamata Ramune'' gives a sense of local love.

Visited on Sunday. The middle day of the 3-day holiday. There were about 3 groups waiting. I entered the store after waiting about 20 minutes.

I ordered Mochi Cheese Mentaiko Monja (sauce flavor), Baby Star Monja (salty flavor), mixed okonomiyaki, and draft beer. Choose between sauce or salty monja.

First, wear draft beer. Fine bubbles. It tastes good too. Clean the server properly.

The monja has a rich soup stock and is delicious. I guess I like the sauce flavor after all. I like this.

Okonomiyaki is prepared in the kitchen. Is the sauce black and homemade? It's not too salty and the flavor is concentrated. The texture is fluffy☆

An additional drink is fresh yuzu sour. Freshly picked? Does that mean you are harvesting fruit from the yuzu tree growing in your garden? It was delicious, so I ordered a replacement (350 yen).

When paying the bill, I happened to look near the kitchen and saw a barrel of sake for 500 yen. I regret that I should have drank it.

It was a store that I would like to go to again!!
