Great place to eat Okonomiyaki! It seems to be run by a family like business. I really enjoyed how they were kind and helped us to choose the right dishes. The Okonomiyaki were tasting great and the vibe was good. The dishes were not so big so i suggest to order more to be full. Overall really happy and looking forward to come back here

After a lot of sightseeing and running through the city, we just wanted to grab a bite around the corner of our Hotel. Yamamoto Mambo was perfect because we already wanted to try the Okonomiyaki. Around 6 pm, relatively early for dinner, we had no problem getting space for two at the bar. I decided on Japanese noodles and my husband for the classic version. The chef prepared the food just in front of us and then served it on a hot plate at the bar. It was delicious. We loved every bite of it. Sake seamt a perfect drink for the dish.
We had lovely service and a friendly chef for a very reasonable price—after all, it was a great, easy meal.

Wanted some okonomiyaki during my stay in Kyoto. Staff were nice and accommodating despite me not knowing Japanese by having an English menu.
Good atmosphere, you can witness how food is prepared. They can be pretty busy so come early especially in a group You can choose the type of noodles(Japanese or Chinese noodles) and how eggs are done. Tasted great, I enjoyed the Japanese noodle option and soft cooked fried egg.

Translated from Japanese:

All Kyoto residents living in the Kanto region say they should try Manboyaki! I was finally able to go. Cheers with lemon high and draft beer! Manbo fried noodles with beef tendon and raw egg sweet and spicy sauce. Bettayaki is a spicy sauce, fried egg, and pickled ginger...
