Bistro Pelmeni

Surprisingly delicious little bistro in Shibuya. Flavors are simple but very well-executed, and prices are excellent. Very good service too. The horse steak tartare, and the cheesy mushrooms were particularly good.

Absolutely delicious! I want to come back again for lunch :)

A friend and I went for dinner and tried about four dishes. The food portion was the perfect amount. It had so much flavor, I wish had some bread to enjoy the leftover sauce on the plates!

We also tried the Adult Tiramisu (some alochol infused) which was also really good.

The restaurant itself is easy to find, off the corner in a quieter section of Shibuya. It has a very cozy atmosphere and you can see why they have so many regulars.

First of all, the basic premise for me to evaluate is that the food is good, but even more so are things like cleanliness, attentiveness of the staff, and customer service.

Taste, presentation, those are the most important things.

My girlfriend found this restaurant while I was in Shibuya on a public holiday, so I called her to reserve a seat.

When I arrived at the restaurant, it was about 80% full, with only 2 counter seats, 2 table seats, and 4 table seats available.
My feeling is that most fashionable or popular restaurants like this one tend to pack in customers, so I didn't have any expectations, but the one I was shown to had seats for 4 people. First, add points here. I'm so happy. I was able to use a spacious seat with her.

After that, every dish I ordered was delicious. The presentation is also beautiful. I think you can tell by looking at the photo, but it goes without saying.
And they always bring a new plate for each dish. The cabbage rolls are brought to each plate separately. That consideration. I'm so happy. Extra points here. I go to a lot of places to eat, but at this type of restaurant, if you don't order, you're always only given the first plate, and the staff are so busy that they pretend not to notice when the plate is dirty. It's full of idiots, but this store is completely different.

Afterwards, while we were happily eating and chatting, he gently brought water to me while I was drinking my second glass. Extra points here. I have to drink water when I drink alcohol, so I'm really grateful that I can take a break.

All the services were casual and comfortable.
She also said it was delicious and wanted to come again, and I think that's all that matters.

If I had to say one thing, I'd say the alcohol prices are a little high. Highballs and beer cost about 900 yen. Personally, I think it would be nice if it was a little more affordable, but considering the location and service, I don't think it's expensive at all, so maybe it's reasonable, but that's just me.

However, all the dishes were delicious, the presentation was beautiful, and the service and consideration was very nice.

The food was so good that I ate so much that I couldn't even get to dessert.

I'm really happy to be able to find a restaurant like this that isn't a run-of-the-mill restaurant.

I'll come back later. Next time I will also have dessert.

I ordered sea bream carpaccio, lamb pelmeni, and blue cheese and sweet potato gratin, all of which were delicious.
The pelmeni and gratin are especially recommended.
