Cafe De 4260

An absolute hidden gem. From the outside; you could not really see that it’s a cozy little cafe that serves breakfast and lunch from 8:30 AM to 8 pm 7 days a week! Only when you get closer do you see the menu items that they are more than ready to make for you!! We had such a great lunch there considering all the fast gondola runs we were shredding up during the morning! We got the buta don as well as the shrimp tempura soup udon. In addition; my brother bought the matcha ice cream which was super delicious. I have eaten at different restaurants all over the mountain from usagi to the cute terrace all the over the right side by the terrain park and this one beats them all. Hands down. Everyone must try it!!!

My Father and I have been staying at a nearby hotel for the past week and a bit and from discovering cafe de 4260 we have practically been going once per day. Between the two of us, we have never been so impressed by a places food options and the quality of every single dish that was placed in front of us. I mean I could rant about this place but I think that me saying if I’m coming back to Japan, regardless of whether im coming back to Hakuba for the ski season im coming back for this place alone. My personal favourites were the Beef Udon and the Pork bowl, also the baileys hot chocolate is cheeky.

I went to this place with a large group of friends yesterday. It was pretty small but the atmosphere and food didn't suffer. I had the burger which even though it was small tasted amazing. Afterwards, I got the dessert in the photo which did not disappoint either.

Don't be deceived by the quiet dinner time (their busy time is lunches)
We had dinner here 4 times (was always our go-to when everything else was busy!) .. Every time, the food and service were amazing. Excellent karaage chicken (along with everything else). Well priced, and we miss the amazing young lady who looked after us so well.. thank you!

The port rice bowl was very good. Look simple but very tasty. A must try if passing by
