Edir Bakery opened in 1989 and is located on the basement floor of Shinjuku Isetan.
The main store (closed in 2013) is located on Place de la Madeleine in Paris, France, and is said to be a famous store whose customer list includes Hemingway, Picasso, and past presidents.
This time, I visited the store on a weekend evening and purchased the following bread.
・Pain au chocolat
・An Japonais
・Apricot danish
I haven't conquered all the menus yet,
The Danish pastry here is delicious.
Not to mention the crispy texture, buttery aroma and saltiness,
The rich flavor and aroma are perfect for your taste.
Pain au chocolat is made of Danish dough and chocolate.
Excellent nickname. The apricot danish
The combination of apricot and custard is good.
There is nothing noteworthy about An Japonais.
It's a little pricey, but I think the taste is worth it.

The first basement floor of Shinjuku Isetan is full of high-quality bakeries, and Ediard Bakery is one of them. The location of the store may be a little difficult to find; it's not in the corner with the bakery, but rather in the corner with the coffee shop and wine shop. All the bakeries are in a showcase, and you can choose from them. I was a little hesitant, but decided on the croissant, bacon cheese epi, and onion cheese.
The croissant has a slightly strange texture. Although it is crispy, it is rather chewy. Bacon Cheese Epi is more about cheese than bacon. If you eat it expecting Bacon Epi, you will get a slightly different impression. Onion cheese is soft and fluffy and easy to eat. I ate three types, and they all had different characteristics and were interesting.
Personally, I think the onion cheese was the best. I want to try a different bread next time.
