Fujin Tree Coredo Muromachi Terrace

A stylish Taiwanese restaurant located on COREDO Terrace. The terrace seating becomes a special seat depending on the season. The restaurant is perfect for special occasions, as it offers Taiwanese cuisine with a very upscale appeal. The lunch menu is very reasonably priced and offers a wide variety of Taiwanese dishes.

Ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Yam Pork and noodle. The food was a bit underwhelming, especially the kung pao chicken. Food quality is decent and should be enough for 1 person per serving.

A bit overpriced for the taste. The inside sitting can get loud in evening (even on a weekday).

This restaurant in Japan not only offered the finest Taiwanese cuisine I've ever had the pleasure of tasting in Japan, but it also stands out as a formidable contender against the top-tier culinary establishments in Taiwan itself. Each dish artfully challenged and transcended my previous notions of traditional Taiwanese cuisine, which I had mistakenly pegged as overly greasy. The appetizer, a dish featuring chicken, was a culinary masterpiece—its meat was tender to the point of near-melting, with each bite bursting with a rich, layered flavor that danced on the palate. Moving on to the pork dish, it was nothing short of a flavor symphony, encapsulating the very soul of Taiwanese taste in a harmonious blend of spices and textures.

The tofu pudding was a revelation in dessert form. Striking the perfect chord between sweet and subtle, it possessed a texture so smooth and delicate that it seemed to whisper of culinary finesse and tradition. Each spoonful was a testament to the chef's skill in achieving a balance that was sweet yet never overwhelming.

The service at this establishment was in a league of its own. The waitstaff were not only professional but also exuded a warmth and attentiveness that elevated the dining experience to new heights. Their gentle demeanor and meticulous attention to detail made every moment spent in the restaurant feel special and personally tailored.

What left a lasting impression on me was the sheer talent and vision of Jay Wu as a restaurateur. His ability to transport and translate the rich tapestry of Taiwanese flavors to a foreign land, making them resonate with diners in Japan, is nothing short of remarkable.

Ordered 2 lunch sets. Mullet roe fried rice is not oily and taste good. The amount of rice vermicelli is too small for the stir fried rice vermicelli dish. Better to replace one appetiser to a small dessert. For a square-sized table, the food trays cannot be placed properly if you’re sitting side by side with your companion. I think the restaurant knows about this, so the server just dropped the food trays on the table.
