WOW!
I loved the food here, especially when I said I wanted it spicy!
I did go somewhere else, but they were closed (boo!).
So I remembered that Halima Biriyani was close by.
I went and there weren't too many people in, which was good.
I ordered a Nilgiri keema curry, raita and a garlic naan bread, with a mango lassi drink.
When I said I wanted the curry spicy, the drinks guy looked at me with surprise, obvs he didn't know what I could handle spice-wise.
Anyhoo, the curry arrived and it was really...... Not spicy at all! I was offered some chopped up fresh chillis, that did give it some heat, but not so that your head was burning.
I then found out that the waiter was from Uttarakhand, and there were three Bengalis from West Bengal! That was great, I started chatting with them.
But back to the meal. It was really nice, I liked it a lot and the service was good.
For people who complain about them talking Hindi, it's what they do, take it as entertainment.
I loved it there, I'll visit again if I can.
