An old folk house cafe located in front of the station, a 1-hour walk from Izu-Nita Station on the Izu-Hakone Railway.
I visited in the evening on a holiday.
It closed at 5pm and the last order was at 4:30pm, so I arrived at the last minute.
I had called in advance so I was able to enter the store.
The interior is reminiscent of an old folk house, but there are a surprising number of seats. It looks like there are about 20 seats.
The basics are table seats. A table that makes you feel like you're at your parents' house.
I was curious about the shortcake, but I don't know if it was because it was in the evening or if it wasn't available that day, but it was gone.
Apricot cheesecake, cream cheese pie, pumpkin pudding, dark cherry pie
There were four of them, so I ordered one of each.
All the cakes were delicious, but I personally liked the dark cherry one.
I don't know if it's called filling inside the thin pie crust, but there was a lot of filling stuffed inside.
The pumpkin pudding was also delicious.
It's not a place you come to often, but it's a cafe worth stopping by when you go to Izu.
