Fine little basement kissa with really good coffee and cakes. Everyone’s friendly and it’s the kind of interior with dim lightning where you want to stay for hours and even doze off for a bit.
Ciggies are the only downside, but I understand it’s an integral part of the Showa kissa tradition, so I endure.

Basement “Kissaten” style cafe in the student neighborhood of Jimbocho. Large range of drip coffees and cakes with two different quiet rooms to enjoy the vintage atmosphere. Coming down here is a truly unique cafe experience.

Delicious coffee, in the old Japanese old coffee house style basement.
The cup collection at the counter is artistic. Might need to queue at weekends due to limited number of seats.
