One of the good Chinese restaurants in Kanazawa. The Mapo Tofu was great, but I personally think it's a little bit pricey for that quality. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels classy and I really love the tables and the chair. It was great overall, would like to come back again and try their other menu.

Japanese take on Bejing (Northern China) Peking duck , dumplings, and clay pot rice at Mei Mei in Kanazawa. Chef roasts the duck to order then carves it tableside. The skin is so crispy you can hear it crackle as it is carves it. I really like this style as there is a luscious layer of fat under the skin that renders while it cooks, so the meat itself is succulent and incredibly juicy. Please play the video, below. Dumplings were tasty and original as well with various preparations of local fish, meat, and vegetables. Finally the clay pot rice was one of the highlights of the meal with a rich, thickened chicken stock and vegetables over crispy rice. #thefoodietraveler #kuishinbo

A decent Chinese restaurant! We had Peking duck was delicious and price is very reasonable. The steamed lamb dumplings were tasty too if you like the special lamb fragrance though.
The assorted appetizers are recommended too.
But the radish and spareribs soup is too salty and radish weren't cooked through.
