Sweet Heaven number 5: Minimal: A chocolate shop which focuses on the purity of chocolate. The flavours of their chocolate bars vary based on the countries where the cacao beans come from without any other ingredients which is amazing! We were lost on how we should start sampling and enjoying the coffee, but the warm and friendly staff stepped right in and guided us through their whole process and the ingredients used, helping us better understand their unique selling point and their awesome product. The ones we tried had a nutty taste, fruity taste and even herbal taste. Following that we tried the cacao fruit pulp drink which was made from the flesh of the cocoa fruit which is amazing. Light and refreshing with citrus and light dark chocolate notes. Last but not least, the crepe. It was made up of a rolled up crepe filled with a pastry cream of sorts, chocolate bits made from cacao beans from Bolivia which have it a citrusy flavour. Topped with a caramel ice cream, Apple cider jelly and toasted nuts for garnish. It went so well together, tasting nice and light when eaten with the cider jelly and the caramel ice cream was not too sweet giving it a nice balance.
Artisanal chocolate in an awesome shop, what’s not to like? 8/10 for brilliant execution and uniqueness but not full marks because it’s an acquired flavour that only chocolate lovers would enjoy.
