Pota Pasta Shibuya

Ooh, now THIS is Pasta! I had the pesto (Genovese) pasta and it was spot on delicious. I've had some homemade pesto recently in Los Angeles and I can recall all the ingredients we used to make it in Pota Pasta's version.

Authentic, delicious, reasonably priced, and just a bit of juggling and double checking when it comes to ordering for the group since you pay for one ticket/one dish at a time.

Very good price. Everything tasted very good. The pasta looks thick at first glance but had a very nice chewy aldente texture. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was well kept and clean.

Cheap japanese style pasta and it's very tasty!

I love how fast he cooks we went there around 12:40 and on the 3rd floor there's still a lot of space. Most of the seats are counter seats.

I recommend going here we spend only around 800yen/person

Dont forget to bring cash you have to buy a ticket from the vending machine.

My sister-in-law found this Totally Hidden Gem from Japanese Gourmet site.
Just couple blocks away in the back alley from one of the mega train station in Tokyo, Shibuya Station, it was bit difficult to find until we saw this Sample Menu window box off tiny alley... 😅
Right next to the menu window box, there was a door then tight stairs lead up to the 2nd floor where the vending mashine to purchase the tickets for your order. 😳😲
The restaurant is extremely small, very space-conscious... The dining space was a long counter along the window plus a couple tables in the back and on the 3rd floor which we didn't check out.
The open kitchen was right behind the counter. I only saw female chefs and servers.
I ordered ウニ/タラコパスタ(太め) - Sea Urchin & Cod Roe Wide Pasta, Focaccia & German Beer.
The food was EXCEPTIONAL!!! 😃😋
Only wish was they would PAINT the window with like Tuscany scenery or something, so that we don't have to see the not-so-pleasant looking back alley scene & huge neon signs of neighborhood shops... 😅 If they fix THAT issue, it'll be 5+ Stars!
