MAR 2024Visited when they had the strawberry season menu and bought three cake tarts to try. The red one is strawberry from Shizouka; sweet with no tartness. The white strawberry is much more expensive, has no tartness as well with flavor that can be compared to peach. Both were delicious with the fresh cream and the thin crispy tart base but I prefer the Shizouka strawberry. Also had the matcha shortcake tart which uses matcha from Uji. The cream has a nice strong matcha flavor topped with more matcha powder, inside there is some soft warabi mochi between the cream and sponge which was delightful. The tart cakes are pricey but of high quality and very tasty.
