This place is awesome! The food is fantastic, the servers are incredible and overall it is wonderful!

Fantastic casual restaurant!

I went to “Wine Restaurant Gotchis” in Ikebukuro!
It's about a 10-minute walk from Ikebukuro Station.
It's quite far from the station and on a dark street.
It feels like a hideout.

I went around 9:30 pm on a weekend, and the restaurant was full.
I was shown to a seat outside.
It feels good to drink outside this time of year.

★Assorted cheese

Not just cheese, but crackers, figs, and honey
You can enjoy a lot of things.

My favorite was the vegetable roast!
I asked for a little vegetable.
However, there are a total of 6 types including okra, pumpkin, and onions.
A luxurious platter!
The slow-cooked vegetables are soft and delicious.
You can feel the natural sweetness of vegetables.

★Oven-roasted pork belly
Open-grilled thick pork belly.
It looked like a cutlet with batter around it.
Juicy pork belly and balsamic sauce match
I'm glad I did it.

★Gizzard confit
Gizzard confit cut into large pieces.
It has just the right amount of elasticity.
It's the perfect seasoning to go with alcohol!

There was a wide variety of wines.
The store clerk explained it to me carefully.
I was able to order my favorite wine.

The dishes are seasonal, delicious and very satisfying.
Since I was sitting at the counter, I was able to watch the food being cooked, how it was heated, and so on, which was fun.
I forgot to take a photo, but I liked the mascarpone and strawberry wrapped in prosciutto (maybe the secret ingredient was honey?).
The people at the store kept a reasonable distance from each other, so it was nice to be able to talk to my friends slowly.
I think I want to go again.
