Opened in 1955, the restaurant still keeps the atmosphere as it was then. This place takes you back to the Showa period as soon as you enter it. The food is nothing special but worth visiting for an experience. Note that smoking is allowed.

If you have only one kissaten to go to in Jinbocho, you must visit Sabouru. Its a retro-style, quaint and cosy kissaten where locals hang out, read papers and chat. Breakfast is simple yet delicious and peanuts were served with coffee and tea. A kindly old gentleman, one of the staff, gave sweets to my children. It's a place which will bring back memories for me.

One of the few survived pure Western Japanese style café where you can still taste a dence Shows era's atmosphere. It situated in a middle of second hand book shop area where it worth to visit when you're staying in Tokyo.
